December 2012 The National Crime Agency (NAKA) is established.

November 2015 Act Nr. 91/2016 on the criminal liability of legal persons is adopted.

November 2015 Act. Nr. 343/2015 on public procurement is adopted. 

October 2016Act Nr. 315/ 2016 on registering public sector partners (the Anti-kickback Act) is adopted. 

February 2017Act Nr. 55/2017 on the civil service is adopted. 

February 2018Murder of Ján Kuciak (journalist) and his fiancée. 

March 2018Resignation of Róbert Fico´s third government. 

December 2018The government of the Slovak Republic adopts Resolution No.585/2018 approving the anti-corruption policy of the Slovak Republic for 2019-2023.

January 2019Act Nr 54/2019 on the protection of whistleblowers adopted.

August 2021Prosecutor General Maros Zilinka uses Article 363 for the first time to dismiss corruption charges against the former director of the Slovak Secret Service.

May  2022The Supreme Court sentences former Special Prosecutor Dusan Kovacik to eight years in prison. 

April 2023Governor Peter Kazimir of the National Bank of Slovakia (finance minister 2012-2019 under the SMER-SSD) is found guilty of corruption by the Specialized Criminal Court.

June 2023A ruling of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic confirms the constitutionality of Article 363. 

July 2023Marian Kucerko, a former police investigator, is sentenced to eleven years in prison and the seizure of his assets.
